Christmas in the Smokies 2011

The Christmas/Winterfest season has been almost perfect so far with a mix of warmer days to balance out the colder days and largely sunny skies. There have been a lot of great Winterfest activities in the last couple weeks alone and there are still plenty going on right this minute.

If you've been waiting for the perfect time to come join us in the Smokies for Winterfest, now's the time to come and visit!

Dollywood is bursting with Christmas activity during their Smoky Mountain Christmas festival going on now until the end of the month and many of your favorite year-round rides and activities will be open during the nighttime as well. Just to see the lighting displays and the Christmas parades and atmosphere alone is worth a visit, and with everything else going on, you will definitely get your money's worth at Dollywood.

Then in Gatlinburg, the mountaintop resort Ober Gatlinburg has switched into full-on winter sports season and fans of skiing, snowboarding, snow tubing, and ice skating will thoroughly enjoy themselves. No one else for miles around offers the winter sports experience that Ober Gatlinburg does and everyone is welcome to come join in the fun!

And don't forget popular spots like downtown Gatlinburg, the Titanic Museum and others in town have their own seasonal events going on as well. So no matter if you're staying in our Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg cabins, you'll be close to everything being offered here in the Smokies. Reserve your cabin today before the season ends at www.secrethideaways.com.
